The stories of a house wife, factory owner, senator, and others are highlighted in this 1951 National Education Association video. All of these characters are facing a dilemma or issue and they are torn between doing what is right for themselves and their families versus what is better for the whole. Through the proper education that they received as children, it is possible for them to use problem solving skills and thinking objectively to come to the right decision. Because things learned during youth shape the way one does things in the future, this film highlights the importance of having the best teachers for America’s youth and encourages tax payers and decision makers to help educators do their job by ensuring that they are paid properly and are not overworked.
